Chea Sim University of Kamchaymear (CSUK) changed its name from Maharishi Vedic University (MVU), since 2008. The main Campus is located in Kamchaymear District in the Prey Veng province, about 108 Km east of Phnom Penh. The university provides Education to rural youth who would not otherwise have access to higher education and it seeks to train a new generation of leaders free from the stress, fears and corruption that have been the legacy of Cambodia recent history. CSUK is a public higher education institution administered by the Ministry of Education of the Royal Government of Cambodia.

USAID expects to provide a total of $65 million in assistance to Cambodia in 2012.
